I grew up in Soweto, South Africa from a previously disadvantaged background. Born after apartheid, I had the opportunity to change everything for myself. In school, I worked hard enough to earn a scholarship into a private school my family could never have afforded—the Deutsche Internationale Schule Johannesburg.

That determination took me to the University of Cape Town, the greatest university in Africa, studying Electrical and Computer Engineering. I earned distinctions, was recognized on the Dean’s Merit List, and was named a Dell Young Leaders Scholar (top 50 in the university). But due to severe funding challenges, I lost my place, had to step back, and started over from the bottom back home.

Living at home in Soweto, a fundamental realization hit me: I had the power to change everything. I always have, and I always will.

I seized every opportunity: completing online software engineering courses, working as a paid technical writer, and channeling every cent into mastering AI and workflow automation.

I began freelancing as an AI Automation specialist, driving immediate, measurable growth for international businesses. But working with those early tools revealed a critical truth: the standard no-code automations and generic AI templates were fundamentally fragile and flawed.

I doubled down on Data Science and Machine Learning to demystify AI from the mathematical ground up. That led to designing novel algorithmic pipelines, authoring peer-reviewed causal research (Dubstrata Causal-FM on SSRN), and establishing Techfusion Automata.
